Oh yeah the law only apply to EU countries by all means. But I don't think Nintendo's account service is that advanced that it's IP based. But to be fair, who knows? Would be odd however if you are on vacation in the US and they would spy on you while you where there. Because then they would be needed to remove your info once you got home since you opt-out to begin with.No problem for me here in austria, but i can imagine that it´s not THAT easy because lets say for example you logg in with an US ip to an US Nintendo server it doesn´t matter if you´re using an EU or Asia account etc you are in the US so their laws apply.
When i travel to amerika they are allowed to take my personal infos, fingerprints, etc so i believe GDPR really only applies if you are "physical" in the EU. But don´t quote me on that just spitting out some thoughts![]()
