now that some latest games require the latest firmware will the software/master keys need to be updated in order to display those titles?

i gott hat build. i didn't know it supported the latest master keys yet.
as long as you provide updated keys.txt file, it'll read latest game without issue
the masterkey field may only display MasterKey8 (?) but aside from that eveything works fine

a new game update will not display for me.

Dead By Daylight v1

do we need another new build for some new and upcomming titles? i have up to the latest keys 9 in my keys.txt file so i don't think that would be the issue with the update not displaying.

also the latest build of nx game info will not read this game update nsp and says not an nsa file.

have you tried installing it and success?
the update should be 1,498,695,748 bytes. if your file size is 1,497,518,690 bytes then you have a corrupted file, not even hactool can open it and will throw "Error: PFS0 is corrupt!"

you can try use this little tool to see if it's an incomplete file https://github.com/garoxas/NSP-Verifier
Code:
File size: 59425262

Number of files: 7

yes my file size is the same as the size you posted for corrupt one.
my first impression was that it was an underdumped or corrupt nsp so i asked about it in the place where i got it. someone there said that all nsp's are verfied there and if i'm unsure of the file then to look for it elsewhere.
because i was told all files were verified i thought the corrupt nsp was not going to be the issue then. guess i was wrong.
thanks for the info.

Recently I have a problem with XCI explorer in both Win10 and Win7 (and with all recent XCI Explorer versions including the Mega NZ ver Garou posted)

"msys-2.0.dll is missing", followed by an unhandled exception error box on-screen....

I see that its recommended to install NET Framework 4.7.2 Runtime, I did so, but I already have Net 4.8 and 4.7.2 didn't show up as installed....nor did this fix the error

Also notice I have MS Visual C++ 2015-2019 installed recently

Anyone else have this problem?

your issue could be hactool issue and not with this app
try run hactool manually and see how it goes
