Hacking woud new region free software be possible?

For those who like me have a wii from a diff region does anyone know if in terms of region free this is as good as it gets, or is it possible more work could be done on the software or new software for it?

full region free is possible untill someone proofs that it's not. maybe with some homebrew stuff in the future. If there's even going to be working homebrew ever

When/if the wii is cracked open proper, then almost definitely.

Homebrew would not be possible on the Wiikey, since it is just a drive modchip. Full region free is probably not going to be possible with a Wiikey either simply because some games may use parts of the firmware that just don't exist in other region's firmware. I may be wrong, and if so, I welcome someone to intelligently correct me, but this is how i've understood it.

we cannot change the game partition, therefore anything hard-coded into the game will not be able to be changed for now so don't count on it
