so i have an RGH modded 360 phat elite model. im curious is it worth it to swap out the spinning sata hard drive for an SSD or no? that is to replace the 20gig HDD with a 1TB drive so i can add more games
You won't get much speed difference because the X360 is only a Sata 1/2 interface anyways, but the life cycle of a SSD will be more reliable in the long run.
You can also just buy/add an external USB 2.0+ hard drive and fill it with more games.
yeah if it's about the lifespan of the drive, an SSD is generally preferable as long as it's not a lottery loser (I bought one brand new ten years ago, it died in two days - immediately turned around, got a USED intel SSD and it's still going strong right now)
there's no magical way to make things load faster through that interface if that's what you were hoping for
The sata bus is gen2 plus the OS has no trimm support , so after a while, writing speeds might (depends on the flash cells) get really low, bellow hdd speeds ( especially with cheap brands ssd).
