I want to make sure i understand this 100% ( i have wii key)


1. there is no possible way nindendo can brick my wii if i update its firmware?

2. Can i still use the internet with a modded wii?

3. Can i damage the wii if i ran a PAL game and updated the firmware that the disk includes if i have a NTSC usa wii?

4. Can i play backups online?

ok so about the online deal. I like to use wii news once in a while, this could expose my modification? I know nintendo isn't doing anything now about it but your saying they can potentially determine whether you have a chip in your wii?

1. Bricking from consoles come from running updates from games that are not your reigon
2. You can use it, but nintendo might find away to detect modchips in the future so...
3. Yes, you could fully brick your console or semi brick it. Keep updating your wii firmware and you should be fine. You can also use wii brick blocker
4. You can play backups online if they have wifi
