Hardware Wiikey v2 not blocking updates?

My Wiikey v2 didn't block my Mario Kart Wii update. I had to disable that feature to play Mario Kart Wii. Does anyone know how I can get the update blocker to work? I don't want to downgrade/upgrade constantly.

I did... How else can I disable/enable the update block feature?

I think there is 3 option in the config menu. 1) Off 2) Block other region updates 3) Block ALL updates.
I use block all updates. You gotta save the settings too. I forgot to do that the first time and that ended up being the problem.

If that ends up not working, I always just use BrickBlocker and use it on my Wii ISOs. It gets rid of the update altogether. You use it when you extract the .iso before you burn it.
