So I just ordered a wiikey because it's cheap and I don't really care about GC backups because I didn't mod my gamecube and i have the original games. But now that I started reading stuff some people were acting like it messes up original copies too, if that is so this sucks.

Can someone clear this up for me,
Thanks

The same problem that affects the backups(lack of audio fix) affects original copes too. So yes, let me agree with you in saying it sucks. I have a lot of originals affected by the problem...

oh, sorry. must have been a different chip. i've been reading alot lately about all of them lol.

dang, maybe i'll have to cancel my order and spend alittle more then.
Yeah, there's no disabling the WiiKey when it's in. You would have to take it out completely. Also, you could always just end up sticking with the WiiKey as it appears that the update is VERY near, and this update will fix that whole problem altogether.

what exactly is the audio problem everyone talks about? i've got a wiikey and i play gamecube games all the time with no problem what-so-ever

the audio problem effects only the small amount of GC games that use streaming audio.

the only games effected are;

* Ace Golf (Swinger's Golf)
* 007: Agent Under Fire
* 108
* Alien Hominid
* Amazing Island
* Bloody Roar Primal Fury
* Bomberman Generations
* Crash Bandicoot
* Crazy Taxi
* Dakar 2
* Darkened Skye
* Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure
* Dragonball Z Sagas
* Dragon's Lair 3D
* Dream Mix TV World Fighters
* Eternal Darkness
* Freestyle Metal-X
* Go Go Hypergrind
* GT Cube
* Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters
* Harvest Moon (in certain areas)
* Ikaruga
* Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast
* Lost Kingdoms
* Lotus Challenge
* Mario Kart Bonus Disc
* Master Quest
* Monster Jam Destruction
* MX Superfly
* Naruto 1,2,3
* Pool Paradise
* Pro Rally
* Red Faction 2
* Resident Evil 4 Preview Disc (w/ RE4 Demo)
* Speed Kings
* Splinter Cell: Pandora's Tomorrow
* Starfox
* Summoner: A Goddess Reborn
* Super Monkey Ball
* Tak And The Power Of Juju
* Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
* Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
* Top Gun: Combat Zone
* Universal Studios:Theme Park Adventure
* Urban Freestyle Soccer
* Virtua Striker 3 Ver. 2002
* Wave Race: Blue Storm
* Worms Blast
* XG3 Extreme G Racing
* Zelda: Bonus Disc (with Ocarina of Time)
* Zoids Battle Legends

some games begin but have an error and shutdown eventually. (normally before you start playing)
this problem effects both original and burned games

yes, only a small percent of gamecube games are affected, mainy the 3rd party ones, a few first party ones.

@TheStump can you tell me which harvest moon is affected as there is 3 titles that are on the gamecube, i have Harvest Moon Another Wonderful Life (for girls) and that boots and plays fine. star fox adventures is messed up big time, there is no voices in cutscnes or it's either garbed.

hopefully if this wiikey update is true it will fix the audio fix problem for good.
