Just wondering if Wii64 is any good?

I have tried 4 roms from 4 different sites and they all dont work.

Have tried:

Carmageddon (very jerky)
Mario Kart 64 (locks up before loading)
Doom 64 (locks up before loading)
Golden Eye (locks up before loading)

My wii is PAL so I downloaded the European rom files.

Anyone got any ideas or suggestions?

Is there another emulator which works?

Thanks in Advance

Have you checked the compatibility list?

Wii64 is still in beta. And though the project holds quite some promise, it's certainly not up to the point where you can throw away your Nintento64 and use the emulator instead.

Aside from making sure you've got the latest version (still the beta1 from 30 september)...I don't have an answer. And I'm affraid that's the best N64-emulator for the wii, so...it's just how it is.

n64 is too complicated to emulate...from what i heard, making multiple emulators built specifically for a certain game would work better because N64 games were programmed differently from each other

Wii64 works fine for the most popular games like super mario 64, mario kart64, ssb(sometimes slows down a bit). but the team is working at a new beta I thought. check it for yourself at "emulatemii.com"
