Is this only for 5.4, no 5.5 ?
5.4 still has the OSDriver kernel exploit whic is used in 5.3.2 for all the cool stuff you have in the Wii U hacking scene. Only thing was needed to trigger it was a userspace exploit ;), which is now patched and has no reason to stay private (except for usability complications).

So yeh, with this browser exploit those who are still on 5.4.0 will join the party of 5.3.2, those who are on 5.5.0 can have a browser exploit to do some lil stuff, but nothing super interesting before kernel access.

Thank you for the explanation, sounds cool for those on 5.4

I could easily release it today, but given it's instability, I don't want to open up that can of worms on this forum. Since late December, I've had the intention of rewriting the exploit to improve its stability. My hope is to do that before release, but if people care that much, I can release the unstable one in the meantime. Just don't come bitching to me about it.

Release it and continue to improve it
May other developers help to reach to the stability sooner

Man even if you don't release it you just earned my trust-faith-respect-and a lot of other things. Thanks for your work, honesty and feedback on your work. :D

So I was on ye olde cam site last night (go pr0n!). I froze my Wii U somehow. A video was playing in the "background" (no video player window, player no longer on webpage), opened another stream and freeze... stagefright?

Yes, this is a serious question.

Nah, happens to me all the time on YouTube... I'm curious what causes this....

Yeah it's nothing serious.
It happens from time to time to me too, mostly from YouTube and streaming services.

Not sure if you see what he meant, he's asking if that was actually the mp4 bug being used for the exploit ^^.
