Only morons would buy it for such absurdly high price because this is going to be available again for the low price of $18-20 so no reason to go nuts about it now.

I know that the GamePad is garbage to play Smash Wii U but hey, there's also the Hori, PDP, Classic Controller, Wiimote and Wii U Pro Controller so options is something that's available.

P.S.: I do like playing Smash with the Wiimote due to allowing the D-PAD to be used but I tend to avoid it because it's too limited (not as many buttons as on the GamePad).

Or you could buy a cheap Mayflash adapter. Yeah, I know it's ugly, connects to the Wiimote and has only one GameCube port, but it's one way to get your GameCube controller working. And since Smash supports configuration profiles for the buttons, you can customize it to be just right in case the mapping is somehow wrong.

Morality matters not to them if they're going to be able to pocket $200 off something they bought for $20. Ethics, however, may not even play a part if they see it as supply and demand.
 
You made the exact statement in regards to the Cubic Ninja price hike. It's simple Supply And Demand. It has absolutely nothing to do with:​

That is a very negative statement, friend. Please think about the economics. Don't hate the market. :'(

P.S. Do not fear friends. When Nintendo makes more units, the market will adjust accordingly. :). Nintendo obviously wasn't planning on the first run being so successful, else they would have made more.
 
they used to sell them through the Nintendo replacement part/repair centre near me for $30.
None are left in Australia but maybe you guys in other countries will have them still up for grabs.

They are not producers, and they do not provide a service. They have no intention of using the product; they are not collectors. Nintendo wishes to sell the product at $20, all these people do is artificially inflate the price to line their own pockets. Yes, it is greed. Just because it fits within the economic structure does not make it positive. Is it legal? Yes. Do they do anything beneficial to the market? No, they make the product unavailable to those with less money.

Just because people can do something, doesn't mean they should, nor does it make it right. Too bad for them I've already obtained a Gamecube adapter from another site, and was only $40, shipping included.
 
It makes it socially conscious. If you can't get it right now, you'll obviously just have to wait. It being available at all is providing a service to those who don't want to wait, you end up paying more, but it provides that low-level sense of desire and the seller meets the need. It's no different than the item selling out for those with less money. Either spend money and buy it, or don't and wait.

They didn't "make it available". Every single unit they "make available" is a unit they made unavailable to consumers in the first place.
