So i finally decided to get a Wii U and now im looking into CFW. I dont plan to do any major stuff except installing games to my usb or sd card for myself and to play with my family. I have read through a bunch of info the past few days on the forums and I decided to go with mocha since it seems like the easiest and safest. I'm going to be following this method but i need to know if things are actually in order here and also what I need to look out for in case of bricks because I DO NOT want to buy another console haha

Any other tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Sorry for the .txt, it wouldnt let me post links. Also im doing the online exploit

Why ? You choosed the Mocha CFW and this is ok.:)

If you like, here is a step-by-Step Manual for it:
https://wiiu.hacks.guide/

As you say,a very easy and safe Method.:)

Please Note that you will need to launch Mocha CFW from the Homebrew Launcher
every Time you reboot in order to re-enable custom Firmware Features.

Good Luck and
Thank you.:)

Is there anything i should look/watch out for brick wise with mocha?
Also can I install wii games no problem through wup installer like super paper mario for example? I've heard you need some sort of windows program for wii titles instead.

For your Question for the Wii Games:

What you describes are Virtual Console Injects and yes you need Tools to make it.
Here is the GBAtemp Manual/Thread for the WiiVC Injector.

If you really want to play many Wii Games then you maybe also consider to mod your vWii that is Part of the Wii U you maybe know.
You can use the Guide from the Link in the Post above ,it also explains how to do this and honestly it is not a Magic Work.

After Modding you can use an Loader like USBLoader GX to play Wii Games and also GameCube Games from an USB HDD.
Since there is only one Version of cIOS to install the Play Fun is maybe "higher" and easier as on an real Wii.:)

With MOCHA you have practical no Risk - nothing "dangerous" will changed on your System. So ist is a good Choice.
Did you maybe also read about the HAXCHI (not Coldboot) Method too ? It is also not dangerous.:D

Good Luck and
Thank you.:)
