guys im confuzzled
so i edited some TPL files and repacked some stuff (i dont know what i did really i followed some guild)
i ended up with a 00000001.app with the same size as the one i began with
so how do i get this file on my wii ? lol

if you extracted your system menu.wad then u have to pack it into a wad and install through wad manager. If you extracted a 00000042.app install through softmii tweaks.

Make sure you have preloader installed so you can get out of a brick.

so is 00000001.app the exact same as 00000042.app ?
also, once you place the .tpl files in a .arc, do you just rename the .arc file to .ash?

also in board.ash there is my_BackPic_a.tpl and the size is 8x456. that file is the background when you view mail. do you guys think i can change the size to like 608x456 to fit a picture across the screen? has anyone tried this before?

I don't think so cause the Wii probbably takes the image and duplicates it across the screen

yeah but if its bigger it just wont duplicate. i might try it cuz ive got preloader.

I don't think it's coded to see if it's bigger cause already with a banner the wrong size will cause a banner brick cause the system menu doesn't check to see waht size it is.

i think big N new that people would start homebrewing the wii from the start and put only small images

thats also probably why they have a mess in 042/45 app so that less people would mess about with it
