Hacking Wii riivolution disk drive starts flashing

When I start up Riivolution v1.05 on my wii to play newer super Mario bros wii. The disk drive starts flashing like crazy. On the wii u's vWii this doesn't happen. Is this normal on a wii? Is there a way to stop it? Or is my wii breaking? My wii version is 4.3 and I know riivolution runs on IOS37. Could there be a problem with the IOS37?

It flashes when it's loading files from the SD card/USB device instead of the actual game disc. No worries.

I'm guessing it doesn't flash on the Wii U due to differences in the console.

Thanks for telling me. I thought it was flashing to the music but it makes since that it loading the data from the SD card. I only put riivolution on vWii and I didn't know it flashed on a normal wii.
