Hardware Wii remote unable to sync to Wii

For some reason my modded Wii no longer responds to any of my Wii remotes. I even tried re-synching, taking out the batteries, buying new batteries, and even buying a new Wii remote, but none of those solutions worked.

Is there something I should do to get it working again?

It will likely not work, so try unplugging the console and sync again, if it still fails try a full power brick reset. A bad bt module should not let you boot to the system menu.

Plus this happened to me a long time ago, I tried many things and simply unplugging it worked.
