The Wii Mini has a USB port. May be helpfull if its as easy to crack as the normal wii.

The firmware is likely to be completely different due to lack of Online features or the SD slot - I wouldn't be optimistic just yet.

Lol I'm quite surprised as well but hey there are people like me who never play online :) Well sometimes :p

Having USB isn't overly useful. There is no current (public, at least) exploit which works via USB, so unless the System Menu allows transfering saves to/from USB (in which case a modified save game exploit could work), there's no way to actually get code running. Once it is running, everything can be loaded from USB and that's fine, it's getting it running in the first place that is the challenge.

Tbh, I never played online that much on the Wii. Maybe once or twice during MK tournaments. Most of the time playing multiplayer, was offline with friends. So the lack of internet shouldn't be a problem for me, if I were to buy a mini.

Took me a while to actually get to be in a place that youtube wasn't actually blocked but now that I see the video and that it actually shows the system menu it IS rather interesting to me that, yes, it says it's 4.3U but there's no SD icon and no GC section in data management as well as only one disk image in the disk channel. They actually changed it. That's rather interesting.
