Hacking Wii Firmware Updates

Hi there, right now the latest Wii firmware is available on WiiFit, but I was wondering if it was possible to download a standalone copy of the firmware? I assume that someone has been able to identify those bytes responsible for updating it on commercial discs (as BrickBlocker removes them, as far as I understand it), so is there some sort of bootdisc I can burn with the exclusive objective of updating my Wii's firmware?

if i update my NTSC-U wii with a NTSC-J firmware, Will i be able to go back to the NTSC-U firmware of the same version ever?
