Hello!

So, this happened a few minutes ago.

Seems the drive eject mechanism or whatever stopped working. I inserted AC-CF (backup) and worked fine.

But when I finished playing and tried to eject the disk, the drive started making some loud crackling sounds and the disk won't get out.

The game works fine however, the drive doesn't make any weird sounds while the game is IN and the reading speeds are perfect (no DRE).

Already tried unplugging the Wii for a few minutes, and tried to turn on the Wii with the Eject Button.

Wondering if someone have an idea what's the problem and the most important thing... Can this be fixed?

Like I said, the drive works fine, but can't eject the disk (and the drive makes that loud sound while trying to eject it).

I have a Wiikey V1 BTW.

Thanks a bunch for your help.

Couple of options I can think of:
1. Remove disc and send to Nintendo
2. Get new drive
3. Flatmii
4. Replace faulty drive mechanism
5. Buy new Wii
6. ???

What I want to know is if --> 4. Replace faulty drive mechanism CAN be done and/or if someone already had a similar problem and if it's hard/expensive.

I'm aware of the other options, but, of course... what I want to know, what would be the best (money wise).

BTW. I live in Mexico, so can't send the Wii to Nintendo
