Hacking Wii Crashes when loading any channel

So when I load any channel on my Wii it can be a stock channel or a VC channel it loads then I can play the game for a few seconds then the screen goes dark and I have to manually unplug the power cord from the wii to turn it off. It happens of channels/VC games I own legally from the Wii Shop Channel. Also when the screen goes dark there is no sound. Why does it crash.

dunno, but it might be time to reflash a nand backup. I turned on my wii a couple weeks ago after not playing it for like 10 years or so. it booted up (didn't test a channel), but it seemed slower to boot up than I remembered.

It started doing this before I even homebrewed my Wii

sounds like hardware failure then. a backup won't help, because if something is wrong with the system software, it would've been backed up along with everything else.
