Hacking Wii can't read SD card.

Hey I'm following a guide that get's hackmii to run so that I can then install Bootii and back up my NAND. (before I do anything else)

On the card I've got a : boot.elf , Hacks.ini, some IOS wads, and folders marked "wads" "apps" and "private"

I've got the most Wii -friendly card I could find...a Sandisk 2GB with the Wii branding on it (which I know means nothing) formatted to FAT32.

I go under data managment ---->SD card and just a bunch of blank blocks come up.
It's the very first part of my hacking attempt and there is allready problems!

Any Ideas what's causing the problem?

(I tried to advance search but it came up in errors)

Hello all,
I have the same problem!
The updated Software on the WII is Version 4.2E
If I try to read the SD Rom there are only questionmarks ??? at the menu.
I tried the same SD Card on a different WII with a lower Sw Version and as soon I plug in the SD Card into slot
there comes the message if I like to start the bootload.ini!

you need to use the little sd card on the main menu if you're on 4.x if you're on 3.x you'll need a different version of bannerbomb

i had this today and discovered the banner bomb i was using was not good for my wii. i grabbed the latest v2 from the site here

i used this to softmod a 4.1e black wii. worked 1st time. be sure to run banner bomb of the system menu sd card menu, not under wii settings...

I figured out what I was doing wrong for anyone else reading this....I wasn't looking under "channels"
I was looking under "save data" . Because there is a picture of the SD card on the save data button I automatically went there instead of the "channel" button which also has an SD card tab...my Bootmii has loaded and am currently backing up my NAND.
