YEA POUNDLAND!!! HAHA, there pretty good for there price,

also a new vid will be up soon with sound, but it wa a sync job cos the mics were on my laptop, and i was useing the same camera. give it like an hour or something.

also, this wont be released yet, as there are still things to be fixed, which are being worked on now. this was a POC

Also, if you are the first to do it, why not tell how it was done?
From what you said it seems like it involved patching the original isos + custom ios right? Maybe patching the dvd-reading functions to something else?

Can you please share with us the details? It's not like someone's going to beat you now. You were already first.
Plus it would make it look even more real

the 1st disk was mario kart, or galaxy i cant remember, i was just showing that i cant boot backups, because i dont have a drivechip, i used the chess game because the game ISO has to be made in a special way for it to load. wii chess was about 24 megs so it was easy to work with

yea it will work with other games, but they have to be modded at the moment, so if you backup anything dont burn them yet. release date isnt set yet, im still testing stuff for this, im not saying now omg backup loader mine. its like the TP hack, it came out when it was ready, half arsed apps are no good, beta apps are not good for the public either.

I can confirm it for you and for everyone...
Since probably it's a two (maybe three with custom ios) piece thing... you can send one part of it either patcher or the loader to a reliable member here.

Since my wii is bricked and already chipped, it's of no use to me... I can dissasemble the thing in ida and confirm for everyone.

Even if I send it to someone (of course I won't, why do I care) , it will not work with just the loader or with just the patcher.

Solid proof... for a week I'm gazing at the freeloader's apploader

I'd prefer if they were to release a beta version or even a PoC which only plays 5 minutes of a backup like the Homebrew Channel first beta.

Then at least you'd know it's real.

They probably wouldn't care especially for this but of course they will probably tighten up their security and measures in general...
And patching a game and burning and playing is too much for an average user... think there is already region stuff and you'll double it with the patched and unpatched thing.. 6-8 versions for the same game... It can only be a toy in few peoples hands... few people in between those who mod and do not mod their wii.

Take your time and perfect it. Truthfully I was hoping it wouldn't ever come because the last thing I need is a new stack of wii games to add to the mountain that I have already of other games. Playing games seems almost like work when you have so many to get through, kind of takes some of the joy out.

for now you will have the mod the disk, this mod is still being testing tho, as soon as i can backup mario galaxy again, it wont be too hard to mod tho, just a waist of disks for the most part.

anything's better than nothing. a POC with source code could be developed by someone else, and valuable additions could be made to the software. this is the great thing about free and open source software. having said that, i do understand that something in such an early stage as this might be better off left private for a while. but once it works, to a reasonable extent, source code would be fantastic.
