Gaming wicked: PSP Downgrade without Pandora

Hello Together !

I've a quesion regarding a wicked topic:
Last week a friend of mine met a guy, who graded his PSP (fat, old model) down to 1.5 an then put a costum firmware on it. (Originaliy it was v.3.0.3 installed)
He (my friend) told me, that the guy used only a memory stick to do this. I'm sure that no battery was installed in the PSP while doing this.

Is this procedure public - or not?
Does anyone know more about this ?

Not exactly a secret, all you need is an older copy of GTA LCS.

you could downgrade 3.5 or something or rather with a copy of lumines as i recalled. and 2.7 with just a image hack of some sort.

You can also make your own PANDORA if you have an older type battery by opening it up and cutting one of the legs on a chip ... read the guides in the psp section how too ... but WARNING if your not confident in doing this then LEAVE WELL ALONE!

I'm pretty sure, that also no UMD was in the PSP - NO GTA Liberty City and no Lumines.

What I want to know, is if there's any prog known to the public, which downgrades to 1.5 or simly let you put a custom firmware on the psp WITHOUT any other than a memory stick.

Thats why I call that procedure wicked!

like i said in 2.70 there was a picture hack that let you downdrade. all you needed was a memory stick and downloaded a special tiff file that allows you to run the code. but for anything higher than 2.7 you need either lumines or GTA liberty City. but you also have to be aware of mother board. but with that method there is a higher risk of bricking. the pandora is just a safer way to downgrade.

for a while the chinese were downgrading some motherboads that werer thought to be incompatible with the 1.5 firmware, but dark alex figured out how they did it and shared that with the community. and its been that way ever since. when ever dark alex makes a breakthrough, he shares it with everyone.

lol i dunno if its possible... even when seeing a vid of this... so many fake's online these days... like slim downgrade w/o pandora and GTA LCS or Lumines... just w/ magic memory stick lol...

People WERE downgrading PSP's long before Pandora came to the scene. I still have many of the old files backed up somewhere.

And the iamge hack you were talking about I believe was HEN. and that was to upgrade to 3.40 OE or something like that

Unless you're using a game exploit or a Pandora, there is no way of downgrading your PSP. He must have had a game in his PSP, or he was using a Pandora battery that wasn't orange.
