don't worry about mod chips until this get's out of beta, then make a desission

I personally use a Free Clip (Programmed with YAOSM). It's $25 with free shipping from Deal Extreme. You have to program it yourself, but as long as you have a serial port on your computer it takes about 5 minutes to program. Installing it is a snap, literally, you just plug it onto one of the chips on the inside of the Wii, no soldering required.

I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who will suggest a WiiKey with a Wii Clip. I hear that option works as well, I just don't have any experience with it because my Free Clip has never let me down.
