Hardware which nuc generation is which

Can someone please tell me what the hell i tel is doing with their nuc lineup?! I just looked today and saw that their nuc 7 got updated with the quad core 8xxxU series chips. Or at least the high end model did. When I look at intels roadmap. It says that there is a CFL-U nuc coming in Q3 2018 with a 8xxxU processor does this mean we are going to have even more processors coming down the pipe. Will they be of any difference and should I wait. I am honestly so lost

I feel that if you get lost this easily, you’re probably not the intended target audience for NUCs. At work we’ve got a dozen of them for our wall screens and they’re not the easiest to work with.
