Hacking Which is better YASU or TTDS

Has anyone tried the newest version of YSMENU (as of 2008/02/05)? It looks like there is only a Japanese version. Does anyone know what has been changed?

According to Babelfish, it says "GBA-NOR surroundings correction".

I tried using this version, but i think the patcher's dodgy, so i reverted back to the previous version before it.

Is anyone else not able to get GBA files or the browser to load without using the GBA loader? I can't figure out what I'm going wrong, but YSMENU doesn't seem to recognize my Ewin expansion cart. I get a message that says "No flash cartridge in slot2" when I try to run a GBA file.

Did you run ttextract on the ttmenu.dat you extracted from the YSMenu pack?

What do you mean by "on"? I ran it in the same folder.

Perhaps you can clarify what happened when you tried to run it.

Read the instructions very carefully. First, the TTMENU.DAT file that comes with YSMenu is NOT the one that should be in the same folder when you run TTEXTRACT.EXE. TTMENU.DAT replaces the file with the same name that comes with TTMenu. You have to run TTEXTRACT.EXE in a folder with a copy of the TTMENU.DAT file that comes with TTMenu (it's confusing because they have the same name). Here are the steps:

Make a new folder called TTEXTRACT. Put TTEXTRACT.EXE into the new TTEXTRACT folder. Put the TTMenu TTMENU.DAT file (the one that is currently on your cart) into the TTEXTRACT folder. Run TTEXTRACT.EXE. You should now have two additional files in the TTEXTRACT folder. Place these two files into the TTMENU folder on your cart. Replace the TTMenu TTMENU.DAT file that is at the root of your cart with the TTMENU.DAT that comes with YSMenu.
