There's a listing over on the website of the Australian Classification Board for a game we've never heard of. It's called Star Wars: Legends. And no, before you ask, it hasn't been banned.

The title was submitted for classification way back in June, and earned the game a Mature rating (for "fantasy violence"). Interestingly, it's listed as an internal Lucasarts project, with Activision down as publisher.

And it's not just the Classification Board making stuff up; "Star Wars: Legends" also appears as a recent filing with the US Patent Office.

A Star Wars game we've never heard of, developed by Lucasarts, mature content...anyone would think this was the game due to be revealed at the Spike VGAs later this month.
Source.

Well, it got a M in Australia, which is about equal to a E here in the states. The Aussie head honchos on this crap just seriously are a bunch of pussies. You fire one laser and it's "graphic content" to them.

Anyway...

Fuck, it isn't Battlefront III. I hate you, George Lucas.

Thank God it isn't a Star Wars: The Clone Wars game.

I don't think Star Wars games have really been "improving" as of recently. They really kicked ass in the last generation but it's just plain weak here.

The classification board needs to look at the news and better yet get laid.

Seriously, they are worse than 4kids, with the classification board even a game with water balloons being fired may yield a mature rating when it would be highly unlikely to get an E10+ in the US.
