I'm just curious. So far all I know you can do is backup games to your system, spoof your PS3 to play online via dualboot, use cheats, unban a console, and use various emulators.

Is there anything else like custom themes that are possible to install on a PS3? It would be kind of neat to know everything going on in the scene.

Also planning on actually getting an e3 flasher very soon this year since I got a PS3 with a certain CECH compatibile console.

custom themes - yes. they're usually decrypted which can be installed even on ofw. they're p3t files that go in PS3/THEME folder

Custom themes can even be installed on OFW.
These are some places to find PS3 stuff.

Best PS3 Themes (This is one of the many custom themes sites, here is the search result for more.)
Brewology (Normal .PKG homebrews you can install.)
PSX-PLACE (There is very interesting projects here.)
PSX-PLACE Game Mods (If you want to mod games, ie mods on Skyrim, Minecraft, etc.)

If you want anti-ban eboots etc for games NextGenUpdate is good for that. Have fun modding!
P.S try to stay away from PSXHAX as much as possible if you can.

if u want an official theme, the .edat version, u can decrypt it usually using the rap. download true ancestor edat rebuilder, drop the rap into the raps directory, and the edat into the edat one. choose to decrypt, not rebuild, to get the p3t.
