When in the first menus of the r4, you can hit the L Button or use touch screen to change the brightness. on the right side of the touch screen, there is a button that says "R" that turns either red or green if you touch it or hit your DS's r button. what does it do?

It toggles IGR (in-game reset) on and off, that enables you to immediately return to the R4 game menu without turning your DS off during gameplay by pressing A+B+X+Y+L+R simultaneously.

Be careful using this in some games. One time when I was fooling around in Tony Hawk and pressing random buttons... the game resetted to the main-menu.

i always forget which color is what and always getting confused. especially since it doesn't work with all games

It doesn't?

nope but i can remember which ones i tried and didn't. unless my buttons are tamperamental but it also says so on the manual ^^

QUOTE(silentreapr @ Jul 23 2007, 05:24 AM)If it's green it means Soft Reset is enabled.

i always think of it as: red=danger=you might reset accidentaly
... and so i get confused all the time ¬_¬"

The only two games that doesnt work whit the soft reset, are Sim City DS and the Japanese Zelda game, the soft reset function was disabled for this two games to work properly on the R4.
