Hacking What are sigpatches? Why do I need them, how do I get them?

If you guys don't mind my asking, I'm new to the switch scene as a whole and am currently messing around, looking to get animal crossing new leaf on my switch. I've gotten the nsp for the game as well as goldleaf and quark set up so that I can download it from there, but I've encountered an error about 2002-4518 (0x234C02), and an invalid NCA. Some scouring on the internet has led me to discover that I need the latest sigpatches? I don't know what these are and my research hasn't made me any less confused, can anyone help?

Sigpatches are needed to run backups (pirated) games and using Awoo Installer is recommended not Goldleaf

sigpatches basically allow for downloaded nsps to be installed or run. Also make note that you need to select the correct one if you use fusse primary or hekate/ fusse secondary

If you are using the latest atmosphere cfw 0.16.0 prerelease and ofw 11.0.0 you can download mine and put them onto your switches sd card
