How can you run this under ubuntu?

A simpler use than above (at least for me):
after building, while still in the terminal where the executable file is type:
CODEsudo cp wbfs /user/bin/wbfs
enter your password

You can now run the program using the Run Program dialog (alt+F2 by default) and typing "gksudo wbfs" or create a menu shortcut that points to the same thing.

dont call it wbfs! wbfs is the name of the program that this is a wrapper for. call it wbfs-wrapper or something different than that.

edit: also should be /usr/bin/ not /user/bin
usr is short for (UnixSystemResources)

There, corrected it. And yeah, it's just that "user" is more automatic in my fingers than "usr" (had to retype it that time even!) so that was just a typo. So anyone reading this, go by my quoted post in THIS post, not my original.

Hi all, i am having trouble with the wbfs manager registering my external hdd to copy my isos to. Everytime i try to format the external hdd to begin transfering files, a window pops up with a lightbulb in it, and nothing happens. Also when i try to display partition contents it just says 'cannot find any wbfs partition (verify permissions))'. I have the volume named correctly ( /dev/sdb1 ), and this is verified by gtparted, which also sees the volume named as this. Any ideas why the manager cant connect??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the manager is post a popup with the lightbulb to ask if you want to format. You say there is no "ok" or "cancel" button?

No, it doesnt have that, its like the manager cannot see my hdd. Does my hdd need to be formatted to a specific type before attempting to connect to it with the manager?

you can try to do it from comand line (as root)
wbfs init

Hi cojiro!
Thank you for this great wrapper!

I have added games within the USB Loader GX and then wanted to extract them to ISOs.
I enter the game ID (copy paste the ID from the "display partition contents"). Enter where to save (/home/username/Desktop) and hit "Extract". The extraction seams to work, the ISO get's created but when the extraction is done wbfs says "Filling empty space in extracted image, Please wait...". After waiting about 3 hours I gave up. It never seamed to finish the image (4.4 gig should take about 3-5 minutes to create i believe...

Is there something I have forgotten to do?
Does it work for you?

Wrapper works great, actually works with my hdd in an old external enclosure when WBFS Manager for windows didnt work. However, on my 0.4.1 the rename game doesn't seem to work. It says it is complete, but the name isn't actually changed. Also, a few dialogs are blank, or have "\n\r" in them, like you used a definite string where it should be a parsed one. Otherwise good wrapper.
