many people got bricked by this thing has he fixed it yet AND can you boot custom channels from sd?

Skip waninkoko's loader. Install customIOS 36_R8 (very important you do this first) then update to 4.0 using the official nintendo method (far less likely to brick). Then install the patched ios60 using wadmanager 1.3 and you can boot custom channels no prob.

Oh, of course make sure HBC is installed on your wii first

could someone integrate SD menu channel on an older version of firmware like 3.x? then we can install IOS60 (which we could install on 3.x anyways without any gains of course lol) with patch to play from an sd card with SDHC compatibility along with preloader, cIOSCORP and all the great stuff that nintendo left open.

its probably possible but would require one hell of alotta skills XD

So this is less likely to brick?

Since you'd be doing the official nintendo update? As long as you didn't turn off your wii while it was updating you'd be fine. Just don't tell all your friends to do this months down the line because that will update to the absolute latest version available and by then there may be a version higher than 4.0

If you're wondering if it works, I just tried it on my NTSC wii. As long as you have the customIOS 249_R8 (also called cIOS36_R8) install on your wii before the update you'll be perfectly fine.
