That guide doesnt tell you to downgrade your cios.

If your talking about the part with preloader and changing the ios thats totally different.

downgrading your firmware is what you DO NOT want to do on a lu64+ wii.

I told you the answer to that in this thread. At the top of the guide it says suitable for LU64 consoles.
