I got the Samsung Portege Z935 (http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/portege/Z930/Z935-ST2N02/) this summer and I'm wondering if I can hook a ViDock into it to improve performance. The ViDock uses a Express Card slot when it plugs into the laptop. This laptop only has a SD card reader. Does an express card work with a SD card reader? If not, is there a way to hook it up using through a converter or through USB?

Thanks so much for reading and even more if you help.

That laptop does not have an express card slot. Usb adaptors do exist, but they're slow compared to the PCIe x1 port that expresscard uses. Express card is for adaptors like video capture, WiFi, usb 3, FireWire, etc. There are also express card graphics available, but they kinda suck too.

Before express card, there were PCMCIA ports. My Toshiba protege 7010ct had one.
