The first two games are just Megami Tensei.
And Nocturne is Shin Megami Tensei III.

Megami Tensei games were made by the original company.

Shin Megami Tensei is the first "Shin" Megami Tensei in the series by Atlus [After they acquired the rights to the series from the original company]

I don't really know much about the MegaTen games so just do a quick search on wiki.
