Hacking Using a USB hard drive with emulators

Hi there im new at this so im going to try and explain this properly, ive bought a Samsung G3 Station 2TB External Hard drive, with its own seperate power.

I Bought a Brand new black wii from Big W and then took it to a local chipping store and they installed a Wode on my wii and also installed a SD card which has the homebrew channel installed.

Currently Im using Wodeflow and its loading all my iso wii games correctly.

I decided to install some wii homebrew applications, so after reading up on many pages i downloaded the applications i wanted, Various Emulators Wii64, Snes9x GX all from the http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Snes9x_GX website.

To install the emulators i opened the archives and extracted them to the SD card using a SD card reader to the /apps folder with all the files in the archive.

When i boot up my wii and open the homebrew channel all of the applications work and open up fine, but when i try and open a game from the USB hard drive no matter what emulator i try none of them find the usb hard drive.

Somehow the wode finds the usb hard drive fine, but my emulators dont (if i put the emulator roms onto the sd card in the according roms folder they work fine, but i cant get them from the usb hdd

Ok ive created 2 partitions using http://www.partitionwizard.com/download.html, i basically resized the 2tb one and created a 2nd partition thats 40gb and it has all of my emulator roms and emulators on it, now the strange thing is when i open snes9x/ VBA/ FCE they can all now see the partition and load games from it but when i try and save it fails, and wii64 cant see the hard drive at all, im not sure whats going on but something isnt right

first make sure your hdd has a fat32 format partition. an make sure the hdd has "spindown disabled." put the emulator games on the fat32 side of the partition.. before formating make backups of the harddrive. lay the wii on it's side an put the hdd in the #1 usb port. sounds like you haven't formatted the drive. put the whole folder for the games on the hdd, not the app folder. you should have two for each emulator.( wii64-apps/ wii64- root of sd card has rom folder), question, why didn't you or "they" not download "homebrew browser' makes it alot easier, an you don't need to remove the sd card.

You could use punemu to load the emulator through your wode. It basically is a iso with emulators/games in it.

Also check if the usb hard drive is fat32.

still cant get saves to work, i dont understand how the emulators can load games from usb but not save
