I was browsing eBay to find console prices

My takeaways:
The 3ds is somehow worth more than a switch nowadays
I can run Switch on PC or Switch 2. I don't need an original Switch with drifting joycons to enjoy those games.

But the ONLY way to play 3D 3DS games is on a 3DS. And it natively can run DS and GBA games. That is a must-own system, particularly the New 3DS XL. The prices on those are going to go through the ceiling when people start clueing in.

Sadly those console prices are a good reason for piracy, same with the games.

The last official Nintendo handheld only system, and they kill it in early 2020 right with lockdowns and payouts so it went up and up, the games got really shitty, though those largely have fallen to an acceptable normal value while bizzarely the handhelds have crackhead costs involved still.
1. Never try to justify piracy. It's theft 100% of the time; no excuses. 🏴‍☠️Just sail the 7 seas and embrace your inner pirate.🏴‍☠️
2. They didn't "kill" it during COVID. They discontinued it because we were FOUR years into the Switch!
3. And the games did NOT get "shitty," first party releases were OVER by 2020! On eShop slop was released during COVID, which is not Nintendo's fault.

I've kind of gone beyond caring about piracy, wasn't claiming I was going to start(get back into it) either. Your interpretation is they didn't kill it because of Switch, but the way it was dropped that fast and at the time they did right off of that new 2ds xl style fresh leans to otherwise, that and given information I get, it was. And you didn't read what I said, the prices on games got really shitty because of the money being thrown around by people getting a freebie from the government. You have fluid assets, a bored person locked into their home, and a lot of free time, it drove up prices for a good year or two before the money dried up and prices began to drop. It's fine if you want to ignore that, that's your choice.
