Hacking usb wii mod

first off im new to the whole modding thing and i just had a questions.

1. is there a plan for a usb type mod for the wii? and would it even be possible to do so?

I highly doubt that a usb mod will be released I think its impossible.

on the wii only gamecubemode homebrew and hacks are possible. in wiimode the only thing u can do is run backups with modchips.
In gamecube mode, the USB is not active afaik therefore not possible..

When you play Wii games you are in Wii Mode, when you play Gamecube games you are in Gamecube Mode. Simple.

Those "stupid phrases" are necessary as they accurately describe the limitations of the Wii when running in Gamecube Mode. Gamecube Mode cannot take advantage of much of the Wii hardware, so there is a need to describe them separately when discussing things like hacking and exploits.
