Hacking USB Loader GX thinks it's release r514

Dunno whats going on here, I went into the update option, it updated, asked to restart, when I got back in and tried updating again, it again thought it had to update to the newest release.

So I went to the USB Loader GX website, downloaded the newest .dol directly, opened my SD card, compared em, exactly the same size. However, I put the new one in anyway, loaded the channel up again, it still thinks it's r514. WTF? So the question is, does the channel have some wierd ability to think on it's own and be nostalgic towards the previous release, or is it being stupid and not updating the release number. Can anyone tell me some feature in the new revision I could use to confirm if it's updated properly or not?

Are you using the Forwarder Channel or the embedded channel?

I downloaded the channel off the main thread, so booting it up in it's own channel

The channel can't update. You have to be using the forwarder to gain the ability to update through the gui.

Yeah use the forwarder no one uses the channel anymore.
