I'm going to upgrade my computer hardware. At the moment I have 8 Gb RAM, a GTX 680 a i7 3770k and a Full HD IPS monitor. I bought a GTX 1080 today. Should I upgrade other hardware components, too? Thanks for your answers!

Do you already have an ssd? If not, look out for some. While m.2 nvme drives would be the largest leap for a single drive, I doubt your CPU has a board with an m.2 slot in it already.
I'd also suggest more ram, and with that 1080, either a 4k or a 1440p gsync monitor.

Depending on your budget, it's a great time to upgrade. With Kabylake round the corner, Skylake prices are sure to fall. So wait for a month or two and get an i7 6700/k or even 6600/k, a Z170 mobo and some new DDR4 ram
