My freind just told me, His DS Lite does not work. When he turns it on it just flashes couple times and turns off. (or I think that is how I heard it

I doubt he bricked it...if he is using an N5 or something, it could blow a fuse, but as far as bricking, he would have to of tried using taihen.nds or the r0mloader.nds. Most likely, he broke his DSL somehow (possibly the ribbon cable?).

There might be a blown fuse or something similar.

If it's still under warranty, send it into Nintendo and they'll fix it for free.
If it's not, you'll have to pay something like $80 to get them to fix it.

There might be a way to fix it by disassembling the DS Lite, but I have no experience with that.

He said it is. And how would I fix it? I heard using something called XPress slot-1 and slot-2 card and fix this >_< there is a video on utube that shows this 0_o

Well, if his DS is bricked...he can't fix it via slot-1 or slot-2. As for opening it and poking at it's innards, it's not particularly hard, but it would be better to know exactly what is wrong before soiling the warranty if it is still there.

once I get it tommorrow, I will explain to u guys in detail ok?
well, if it is bricked, you can always do the swap method.
But it requires to ds lites.
What you do is run "flashme" on the functioning ds lite,
swap the BIOS chips with the one from the bricked ds lite, and flash the "bricked" BIOS chip with functioning firmware.
