Hi,

I installed Luma on my 2DS a long time ago. Recently I updated my 2DS stupidly and panicked, fearing I had bricked my device. Shortly after I learned that all I had to do was replace the 2 Luma files in the root of my SD card to fix it.

However, the DS only boots when the SD card is inserted. Which is something that bothers me. I get an exception occurred followed bu a dump and the choice of copying the dump or shutting my device down.

I’d like to know if theres a way I can avoid getting this error, I assume I must install something to the 2DS itself however I’m clueless when it comes to this and would appreciate any help.

Thanks a lot,
Egatserp

Download the latest version of Godmode9: https://github.com/d0k3/GodMode9/releases
Put it on the SD card of your 2DS: Copy the GodMode9.firm file from the godmode9 zip file to /luma/payloads/ on the SD card, create those folders first if they don't exist. Copy the entire "gm9" folder to the root (main folder) of the SD card. If the file manager asks you about merging the folders or overwriting files when copying the gm9 folder, say yes to it.

Now put the SD card back into the 2DS, hold START while powering on the system, and open godmode9 from the list. In godmode9, press the home button, select "Scripts..." -> "GM9Megascript" -> "Scripts from Plailect's Guide" -> "Setup Luma3DS to CTRNAND" -> continue, and enter the button combination. Now press B, select "Exit", and power off the system. Your 2DS should now have the newest Luma version installed on the internal storage, and it should boot normally without the SD card.

Worked the charm and only took 2 minutes. Thanks a lot mate really explained it well for me.

Have a great day,
