Re-read the article. Ukey was cancelled in favour of a different design - WiiKeyU.

this is confusing, but I think what it's saying is the first shipment(s) of the device will be different from the following shipments.
The ones afterwards will be made by different people, but will probably be the same.

The news of it actually being released now (can we confirm it's being release now?) totally trumps anything about who owns the company.

Edit: Also I thought "Wiikey U" was the one we already preordered?

Wow, if the pictures weren't so shitty(because of the watermark) on wiiuhax you could probably duplicate the dumper at next to no cost.
f0f was pretty much accurate in their description of "bog standard" "sata".
