Some power maintenance going on where I live, and I would like to know - What happens if the power goes off while installing a required IOS, or system menu file, or patching them?

I dont want to find out so im going to have to wait a few days until they rewire everything... Fantastic....

If you don't have an Uninterruptible Power Supply, I wouldn't try flashing anything (unless you need bricks for a wall) (or paper weights)

jups, that goes for flashing ANYTHING. xbox/dvd drive/pc bios etc powerout while flashing is BRICK
in this case you arn't flashing anything but it will most probably still result in a brick(if it then can be overcome by chipping your wii i dont know)
