Just curious about the differences between the two regions: aside from the (E) version having multiple language options, there shouldn't be any differences between the English option, right? I'm wondering this because when I played the (E) version of Fire Emblem DS, everyone sounded SUPER English, like they were in a Renaissance fair or something.

Mmm it depends on the game. Some games can't connect to each other through wireless play if they are from different regions (I know COD:WaW does this, since I was so hyped I could play it with a friend at school, but when we tried to do so he had the European version and I the American, and we had to wait till we both "bought" the same >_>'). Other games may have bug fixes (rare) or some different stuff, but usually it's light things, no real discrepancies will occur from one version or the other...

Probably only felt that way to you since you're not used to British English? I'm not too sure about Fire Emblem DS, but isn't it supposed to be in some kind of mediaeval times? So I wonder if it doesn't sound.. or rather reads, old'ish even in the US release... but I haven't played either, so I won't know. XD

and sometimes they put some random huge differences between E and U versions.
the difference really depends on the devs and publishers.

just an example of a game with huge differences:
naruto ninja destiny 1
J: missing several characters, japanese voices, missing 1 map.
E: missing 1 character, no voices, missing 2 maps.
U: all characters, english voices, missing 1 map.

while guitar hero on tour has no differences.
the english E release(it has an multi4/5 and an english version) is completely the same as the US version with only a difference in area code, and a lock on multiplayer(no E VS U multiplayer).

Didn't the europe version of On Tour get a few different songs?

Also U and E version of Naruto Ninja Destiny bumped up the frame rate to 60.

I hated Picross (E) because it called it a "Rubbish Bin"
I was like, Bitch it's a trash can!
And then I got Picross (U) and all was well with the world.

Trash can?? I prefer rubbish bin. Guess I should get E.

The main difference is release date. Nintendo usually like to make Europe wait except for with fire emblem they got it before the US i think. However it wasn't too long ago they got the first rune factory which makes me feel bad for legit customers who had to wait that long to buy it.

also, some games with (E) when you change the languge on the DS, it will change in game as well

Kirby is a fine example of this. Although some games, like mario kart (U) has it as well.

the E(ukv) release has exactly the same songs as the US release.
but the E(multi-4/5) release did get some different songs.(but it contains no english language option)
