Hacking Types of sd cards

Hello there, I have been looking to install hkmebrew on my Wii but it seems all methods require a 2gb sd card to start. Is there any method that doesn't and if there isn't can I take a 3ds ad card back it up, format it and then use that to install homebrew?

As long as the homebrew fits on it... It might work. I'd really recommend at least 2/4GB though, especially if you want to play game mods like Newer or CTGP-R.
AFAIK most SD cards not bigger than SDHC should work.
