My jig arrived and my Switch successfully booted into RCM! :)
That means nothing, every Switch can Boot to rcm, its all about using the exploit.
Try using a payload.
If the Switch doesnt react, you got a patched one.

Really wonder what can get out of this. Let's hope they can somehow find any other vulnerability that allows for something coldboot related. I mean, sure FG was a pretty big exploit, but it must not be the only one. Great to see so many people working into finding something for the Switch.

Finding a bootloader bug does not mean there are other bootloader bugs just as finding a gold nugget on the street does not mean you will find another around the corner. FG wasn't just a pretty big exploit, it was THE exploit.

The scene moves fast for the Switch but this is part of the cost of declaring a bootloader flaw in the middle of a system's first year, it will get fixed quickly in its lifetime. The fact that that flaw happened to be THE flaw just means the scene as a whole suffers in the long run in a lot of ways.

Burning the candle on both ends.

you cant say for sure that they wont find another exploit. theres always a way to exploit any secuirty. im fairly positive there will eventually be something people find. just look at the 3ds. noone expected it to be cracked open like it was at first but look at it now. you cant say for sure either way so why's it hurt to be hopeful?

This logic flawed because I can say the reverse too, no one can say much of anything for sure if the argument is made towards some grand unknown. But let's sooner just look at X360 to Xbox1. Because the 360 had JTAG does that mean the X1 will have JTAG eventually? No, of course not, because things getting fixed does not mean that another door opens somewhere else.

Sometimes when you close a door, another doesn't open. Bootloader bugs are a rare breed, bootloader bugs on the level of FG are rarer still. Burning them in less than a year fills someone's pockets for a short while but empty's everyone's on the long.

I'd recommend not using the 3DS as a barometer of much of anything when comparing it to the Switch. The 3DS barely had properly functioning parts let alone functioning security engines.

Sorry, I used a payload too, and it worked! :)

More talk, no results. Typical TX.

People, just wait for Atmosphere. It will be all you want and more!
they literally have the only all-in-one package in terms of hack and dongle and the only XCI loader. so as far as most are concerned they are the only ones to deliver. calling it typical TX without being correct makes you sound like a bandwagoner. sorry.

Just ignore him, many have already said they are fed up listening to him complain about TX over and over in TX threads, it's all he does.
At this stage it almost seems like he does it for attention.

It is extremely difficult to send Switch to TX.
There is a regulation about lithium battery is being treated as dangerous goods.
*sigh*
Still working on it.

You should be able to take the battery out, and have TX send you one back with no battery as well, to get around that problem.

In the UK, as long as the battery is attached to the device and a battery warning label is on the packaging you're usually ok.

Not sure if something similar exists where you are.
