They won't release this exploit voluntarily, but if Nintendo decides to use TSEC again in a new firmware update then they will be forced to use this new exploit aswell, pretty much unpatched switches are future proof now, Nintendo can no longer delay day 1 cracks for new firmware's anymore.

Which kinda makes me believe we'll be seeing some kind of AP implementation in games like the ds era soon or later.

Let me rephrase that, if Nintendo have another trick up their sleeves like the secret Memory channel, they might have to use it.

Also I didn't say they will release it, it will probably be implemented in sept to defeat tsec.

That's what I was thinking, if Nintendo pulled off some shenanigans like the memory channel again, then they'll have to use it, its just a matter of time and if Nintendo have any more aces to pull from which looks like none at the moment.

Common sense says you would check before. Yes, you can ask the reseller to disclose the serial number beforehand.

Find an unpatched Switch by looking at the serial number and comparing it to the serial thread. Some stores display their Switch systems with some of the serial numbers visible. That's how it is at my local Target, anyway.
