Gaming Transformers ?

I played DS, PSP, and PC versions of this game. I'd say DS version is at its peak.
Original character and variety of vehicles to choose from, and your robot form changes according to the vehicles. Unlike other consoles all movie characters. But DS version fails at difficulty control. One mission is way to easy the next is frustrating, the next is normal and so on. Fluctuates a lot.

I stopped playing Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars to play this and I was expecting it to be a crap movie game. I've stopped playing now because I've completed it and to be honist there just isn't really any thing else to do once you've complete it, unless ofcourse you have Wifi (I did but my old PC is broken down and my laptop doesn't seem to work with it) from what I've read on Gamefaqs it's quite competitive. But really the game is almost worth buying just for the ending.

Your posts all fascinate me greatly and seem to mirror an impression I got off the general shared comments in reviews (I don't trust corporate review sites singularly...it's dangerous and stupid.) The DS one seems to only have the drawback of just having irregular stage difficulty. Outside that it appears to have the best balance, good stages to work with, stays fairly regular and is consistently more fun, and has that online point war thing as gravy. I think it would be a hoot to get the DS title potentially after all.

Now as so far as the console one I've just seen more bashing and little love more than is said so far. I don't even want to call it hit or miss as it seems more of a mediocre your tastes/miss type where just blind rabid Transformer fanboys can only adore it. I never bought the DVDs and haven't watched the show I loved so dear since the 80s so I think having the bad control, ease, lame camera, cheap shield, useless gunshots, etc would piss me off to no end likely at the $50 asking price. Maybe when it hits the movie dumpster all games end up doing after the films leave the theatre a $20-30 tag would be fair.

Hmm...decisions. I still got a few more days to get opinions and all that as I'm still cracking away at Sim City DS and Brothers in Arms which I both greatly recommend as some of the most enduring fun I've had on DS all year so far (and in the case of 'shooter' fun best period.)
