Hi,

as my current USB-Drive has begun to report SMART Errors I would like to transfer all Data to a new drive. Now what I would like to know is, how to transfer all Data, including Game Data and Savegames, to a new drive. If I just plug a new drive to my WiiU it tells me, that just one drive is supported.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in Advance

Sorry, this is a bit off-topic, but which tool do you use to detect these errors? Never done this before but I am also a bit worried about my Wii U's hdd.

That's only on the HOME Menu. You need to connect the other drive after going to System Settings > Data Management. From there, you can format it and move everything over.

On linux I use smartctl or gsmartctl. SMART Status was worrying me.

Migration took about 12 hours for 500GBs but now all data is on a new drive.

After migration I've checked the old one with badblocks and it has quite a lot of bad blocks. I'm quite happy that there were no errors or abort while transferring all data
