it should be Steam> Steamapps> and there should be a counter strike source shared.gcf file but since it's pirated mine is Counter Strike Source> Steamapps and it should be there but it's not.

What do you mean by check the pirated copy?

Thank you for finally posting

Example, if the pirated version of CS:S installed at C:\Program Files\Counter-Strike: Source\
And the file should be at /cstrike/maps/de_dust.bsp
then you should try
C:\Program Files\Counter-Strike: Source\cstrike\maps\de_dust.bsp

That is how extracted pirated copies work.
If your copy of Counter-Strike: Source is not extracted, then there should be a counter strike shared.gcf somewhere.

Don't ask me why I know this

.

Also, extracted copies aren't as good.

I don't know half the stuff that you just typed. How do I know if mine is extracted?

Most releases will be extracted.
Pretty much extracted means all the files in the gcfs are extracted and put into one place.
An non extracted one (GCF-based) will have GCF files and also a few extracted files that are needed to start the game (Example: hl2.exe). So pretty much, see if there are any GCF files I guess.
