Yeah, gw bircks almost all 3ds. Sky3ds is the ruler nowadays :)
You clearly don't know what you're talking about. There has been one single wave of bricks and nothing happened ever since. If you don't know what your talking about, educate yourself and don't spread your misinformation.

On topic: yes, Sky3DS does work, however, Gateway is a far better solution and they'll support all firmwares between 4.x and 9.2 soon.

sky3ds works, but it isn't region free, no multi rom support, no homebrew, no software update and no emunand (meaning that if nintendo manage to block the card, you're screwed)

Are you ready to get killed by everyone here ?
He better be wearing good armor.

In topic: Right now, there's no arguing about it. SKY3DS is the superior product but ONLY because GW hasn't released their exploit yet ;) .

When it does, if we're ALL lucky, even 9.3 will be supported. If not, 8.1/9.0/9.1J/9.2 will work just fine. You'll also have NO save issues, have multi-rom menu, region free, eShop and .CIA.

So, arguably, if you're patient, wait for Gateway. If you're in 9.3 AND impatient, grab a Sky3DS.

Hope that helps.

Figuratively. You asked a question that could've been answered by less than two minutes of simple research on this very forum, so naturally people are going to troll you.

And this too.

Anyways, it's all down to current preference mate. Either way, Nintendo will never know (only if you go online with a patched ROM to play online) that you tempered with your device.

well... howabout online? or modding the handheld to allow it? or a so hoped cheat function?

Well to enable ROMs to go online (your backups will be fine though! I think!) is kinda tedious, but there's a way to enable them. Essentially, they'll end up as .3dz and not .3ds.

The whole thing about the header is that when you patch your game, you'll be using someone else's legit cart. There has never been any problem up until now, but y'never know.

As for cheats, there's none so far (and honestly, hope there never will be). I think only MT Card has cheats, but it's very poorly designed.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
